Afghanistan: Aid for Girls and Women
After 40 years of war and the withdrawal of international troops in August 2021, Afghanistan is facing the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time. Nearly all support structures have collapsed, and every second person is facing hunger. 13 million children are at risk of starvation without aid. Since this emergency affects innocent children—especially girls and women—we want to help. We’re proud to partner with the Afghan Women's Association in Hamburg, which has been supporting girls and women in Afghanistan for over 30 years through local teams and self-help projects, reaching over 100,000 people.
Project Overview
Help us fund five private schools operated by the Afghan Women's Association, providing education for over 5,000 girls. Let’s support seven mother-child clinics in remote rural areas. Each clinic treats about 100 patients daily, provides birth assistance, neonatal care, nutrition assessments, trauma support, immunizations, and medical care. In two sewing schools, over 100 women receive training each year and support in starting their own businesses. Aid in Afghanistan is possible—and it saves lives. Thank you for your support. Planting Forests in Germany
Germany’s forests are in distress—climate change and monoculture planting have left them vulnerable. We must take collective action by planting healthy, climate-resilient mixed forests to secure a better future for us and our children.
Reforestation in Germany
Planted is a non-profit based in Cologne committed to fighting climate change by planting trees and supporting global climate projects. Rather than monocultures, Planted cultivates resilient mixed forests better suited to climate change. Their in-house forestry expert Jan ensures species are matched to their local environments.
