Hand-woven rugs are created on traditional looms by interlacing warp and weft threads. This technique produces flatter rugs that are often reversible, with clean, defined patterns. They are highly versatile and characterised by their natural appearance and excellent flexibility.
Whether plain or patterned, hand-woven rugs offer a wide range of design options. Although they are generally produced more quickly than hand-knotted rugs, they can be equally high in quality. Their quality depends primarily on the materials used and the craftsmanship involved. Thanks to their durability and ease of care, they are ideal for everyday use.
Only hand-spun sheep's wool is used in this rug. Thanks to the careful manual processing, the natural properties of the wool are optimally preserved: it is robust, elastic and has a pleasant softness you can feel with every step.
The hand-spun wool gives the rug a unique, subtly textured surface with a delicate sheen – a hallmark of true craftsmanship. The material is also temperature-regulating and dirt-resistant, creating a comfortable indoor atmosphere.

Vacuum your rug regularly to remove dust and dirt. As a rule, once a week is sufficient; more frequently if the rug is subjected to heavy use.
Act immediately when a stain occurs: absorb excess liquid with an absorbent cloth or paper and avoid rubbing. Then use a specialist rug cleaning product or a mixture of water and vinegar.
Longer or protruding threads can be carefully trimmed flush with the pile. No hole will form in the rug.
Have your rug professionally cleaned at least once a year to remove deep-seated dirt and preserve its value and appearance in the long term.
Avoid direct sunlight, as this can cause fading. Curtains or blinds provide additional protection.
Avoid placing heavy furniture permanently in the same spot on the rug. Use felt pads to reduce pressure marks.
Some fluffing is normal in the first few weeks, particularly with wool rugs. It is caused by fine fibres that come loose during spinning and is a sign of natural materials. Over time, fluffing decreases significantly.
If your rug requires a special treatment, such as impregnation, please contact a specialist retailer or professional rug cleaning service.
