Right of withdrawal

Important notice for orders from Switzerland

Our cancellation and return policies on this page apply exclusively to orders with a delivery address in Germany.

For customers from Switzerland, different statutory regulations apply, in particular:

• no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases in Switzerland

• different return and defect regulations

• different shipping and return costs

• no entitlement to German special conditions (e.g. 31-day return policy, free shipping)

Statutory right of withdrawal (DE)

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, has taken possession of the last goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Morgenland Teppiche, Brook 9, 20457 Hamburg, Germany, mail@morgenland-teppiche.de, Tel.: (+49)4038632777) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or email). You may use the attached sample withdrawal form for this purpose, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification of exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, with the exception of delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must return or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired. If an incorrect or damaged product is delivered by Morgenland Teppiche, Morgenland Teppiche will reimburse the customer for the shipping and return costs. If a customer receives a damaged product, the customer must provide proof in the form of photos or videos of the product and packaging in high and clear quality. 

Legal notice regarding return/collection
Please package your return so that the following maximum dimensions are not exceeded:

• Length: 175 cm (including protruding packaging/plastic films)

• Girth: 300 cm (length + 2×width + 2×height)

• Weight: 31.5 kg per package
  
  If our packaging instructions are not followed, we reserve the right to deduct a flat-rate handling fee of €40 from the credit note, provided that verifiable additional costs (e.g. repackaging/oversize fees) are incurred as a result; you reserve the right to prove that no damage occurred or that it was lower.
  

For the return of products outside Germany, a flat-rate shipping fee is charged,  which you can find here . 

If you return a product from outside Germany and there is no fault on the part of Morgenland Teppiche, the shipping and return costs will be deducted. Orders within Germany and deliveries within Germany are eligible for free shipping and returns. You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that was not necessary to check the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Return of special orders.

Please note that custom-made products cannot be returned or refunded unless the customer can prove damage or an error on the part of Morgenland Teppiche. In such cases, the customer must substantiate their claim for return or refund of the order by providing high-quality photos or videos. This policy ensures that we maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality, personalized products while protecting the interests of our customers.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following contracts: contracts for the delivery of goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.

Special notes

If you finance this contract through a loan and later withdraw, you are also released from the loan agreement if both contracts form an economic unit. This is particularly the case if we are your lender or if your lender relies on our cooperation in the financing. If the loan has already been paid to us at the time the withdrawal takes effect, your lender shall assume our rights and obligations arising from the financed contract with regard to the legal consequences of the withdrawal or return. This does not apply if the contract relates to the acquisition of financial instruments (e.g. securities, foreign exchange or derivatives). In order to optimally avoid contractual obligations, exercise your right of withdrawal and also withdraw from the loan agreement if you have a right of withdrawal for this purpose.

Important:
Please do not send your return directly to our warehouse in the EU or Germany.
Shipments that are not sent to our Swiss address may get stuck at customs or cause high import duties – we may then have to pass these costs on to you.

31-day voluntary return policy

For all carpets that you purchase from Morgenland Teppiche, we grant you a voluntary return right in addition to the statutory right of withdrawal. The period for exercising the voluntary return right begins at the end of the statutory withdrawal period and ends

31 days after receipt of the goods. Timely dispatch is sufficient to meet the deadline. However, the prerequisite for exercising the voluntary return right is that you return the goods in their original condition, intact and undamaged, in the original or a comparable packaging. If you would like to make use of our return service, please contact our customer service by email at mail@morgenland-teppiche.de. You will then receive the return information and your return label by email. If you are unable to print the return label, we can alternatively send you the documents by post. The voluntary return right does not apply to the purchase of gift vouchers.
