This Loribaft carpet - Softy belongs to the group of fine carpets and is the high-end variant of Gabbeh carpets due to its elaborate and denser weave. Loribafts require 4 to 6 times longer production time than normal Gabbeh carpets. The tightly twisted, hand-spun virgin wool gives the carpet its sheen and liveliness. These examples are very soft, cosy, and extremely durable. The patterning of loribafts is often subtle, decorated with simple ornaments, which gives them a timeless look and allows them to be versatilely incorporated into different interior styles. Knottings from India are also widespread, which skilfully reproduce the classic Loribaft motifs and are in no way inferior to the Persian versions in terms of quality.
